Details

I am looking for a part-time freelance artist / creative to carry out weekly community management and course administration for my online teaching business. You will be joining a small team of two to help support the business as it grows over the next few years.

This person needs to be self-motivated, knowledgable about printmaking and art techniques, have excellent attention to detail and keen to help others to learn. Oh - and creative through and through with p;lento of ideas for ways to Inspire others as this is what my business is all about!

The role will involve a number of regular weekly tasks such as responding to course comments, encouraging students on the various Facebook groups and posting short blog articles, sharing regular tutorials or sketching prompts. There will also be increased activity at various points of the year such as during the 30 Day Sketchbook Challenge each January and during the Inspire membership registration periods (3 times per year) or when an online art course is launched.

The role is very flexible (as in the hours can be done whenever throughout the week as long as things are checked at least once every 2-3 days) and based online.

You will mainly be working on the following platforms and apps: Facebook, CourseCraft, Asana, Canva, Zoom, Instagram as well as via email. Experience is helpful but not extensive knowledge of everything required. Good ability to pick up new technology and work online is essential although full training will be provided one currently used platforms.

Hours and Salary

This is a freelance role set at £12 per hour to be invoiced monthly. Estimated at 5 hours per week (one hour per weekday for example) with additional hours during busy times as mentioned above. This role is likely to grow as the business grows and there will be a mixture of things completely handed over and things that are worked on jointly as a team. Occasional team Zoom meetings.

Note: There is also the opportunity for additional work on video editing through iMovie or podcast editing through GarageBand IF that is a skill you have (but not essential as this could be a separate job hire.) There also may be additional hours available for online teaching for the right candidate as well (again this is NOT essential).
