In this video I want to open up the pages of a couple of my sketchbooks that I use for playing with block printed designs. I think it is so important to experiment when working with pattern before completing a finished piece or range of printed textiles.
I have always been a big fan of a sketchbook as a vehicle for doing this. By using sketchbooks for exploring you have a pattern reference to go back to time and time again when you are looking for ideas.
