A huge welcome the first episode of a NEW video series on YouTube called Sketchbook Stories.
In this series I am going to open up the pages of my own sketchbooks to show you what’s inside – the good, the bad and the messy. Each video will explain the story behind the sketch and describe exactly how it was created. This is all with the aim of helping you to see what happens in a ‘real’ sketchbook and to re-ignite your love of sketching.
This series will release live on YouTube once a fortnight on Thursdays. Some weeks will also contain mini-tutorials explaining simple sketching techniques to boost your drawing skills and your creativity.
This very first episode tells you the story behind a double page spread created on a visit to the New Forest.
This page was a combination of sketching on location in pencil and added watercolour later on in the day…
