Cotswolds Sketching Retreat - 7-9 May 2027

Step away from the busy hum of daily life and into a weekend of pattern, colour and calm, based at the beautiful Stratton House Hotel on the edge of Cirencester in the heart of the Cotswolds. This retreat is designed to help you connect deeply with craft, place and your sketchbook, inspired by the life and work of William Morris.
We'll begin gently, with Friday afternoon sketching together in the studio to settle in and find our rhythm. Saturday is spent at Kelmscott Manor, Morris's beloved Cotswold home, immersed in the pattern, colour and craftsmanship that shaped his work and surrounded by the house and gardens that inspired it. On Sunday we return to the studio to work up the sketches and studies gathered at Kelmscott into finished sketchbook pages, using a relaxed, observational approach throughout.

Costs
£600 per person for the weekend retreat including materials, tuition, a full day-trip to Kelmscott Manor, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, plus a two-course dinner on the Friday and Saturday evening (alcoholic drinks are extra).

£50 discount for Inspire Members
Deposit: £100 due on booking. All other T&Cs apply.
Balance: £200 due by 01.12.26, £300 due by 01.02.27 (£250 for Inspire members)

Friday - welcome teas and coffees, plus two course dinner. Alcoholic drinks are extra.

Sunday - tea and coffee throughout the day plus lunch included.
Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the retreat price as guests may wish to stay for varying amount of nights. Double / Twin Rooms @ £200 per room per night. Double rooms for Single occupancy @ £180 per room per night. Board Basis: Bed & Breakfast. Once your deposit has been made you can book accommodation with the hotel (we will email you the details for booking).
