In this very special weekend sketching retreat with Susan, we will be visiting the amazing Eden Project in Cornwall to seek inspiration and sketch. The Eden Project in Cornwall is a unique educational charity and social enterprise (and one of Susan's favourite places in the UK!) Once a former clay pit, the Eden Project is now an outstanding garden open to the public with a calming Mediterranean biome and the world’s largest indoor rainforest and more. A plethora of plants and nature to sketch and savour. 

To reserve your space please 'purchase' the £50 deposit. 

As a group we will be looking to nature and the plants and green spaces of the Eden project as our inspiration - painting, drawing and sketching in a variety of mediums. The Friday session 3-5pm, in the wonderful Cornwall Hotel and Spa, there will be a preparatory sketching session, full of lovely warm-up exercises. Saturday will involve a full day-trip to the Eden Project with a group guided tour in the morning. Followed by sketching and guided sessions in the afternoon with Susan. Sunday will be a full day in the studio in The Cornwall Hotel and Spa, to sketch and create from our studies and photos taken the day before. 

Let’s really explore the beauty of the Eden Project and find ways that work for you to express yourself in your sketchbook.

After the retreat you will come away relaxed, inspired and creatively fullfilled, with plenty of completed sketches and ideas for what to continue sketching after the retreat is over. Not to mention the happy memories of sharing this experience with other keen creatives.

Costs

£600 per person for the weekend retreat including materials, tuition, a full day-trip to the Eden project with group tour, tea and coffee plus two course dinner on the Friday and Saturday evening (alcoholic drinks are extra).

£50 discount for Inspire Members 

Deposit: £50 due on booking. All other T&Cs apply. 

Balance: £250 due by 01.11.25, £300 due by 01.02.26 (£250 for Inspire members)

Accommodation

Accommodation is not included in the retreat price as guests may wish to stay for varying amount of nights. Prices and details TBC.
