In this video we take a look inside one of my completed daily sketchbooks. This well-travelled Moleskine sketchbook has been with me everywhere from Paris to Bilbao, on boat trips, into galleries, exhibitions, gardens, and workshops. Inside you’ll find a real, honest, working sketchbook - messy pages, unfinished studies, pressed leaves, postcards, colour swatches, teaching notes, travel sketches, mark-making exercises, asemic writing, pencil studies, watercolour experiments, gouache play, and so much more.
I worked in this sketchbook between May and December 2025, using it as a creative catch-all. This isn’t a “perfect” sketchbook - it’s a living, breathing creative companion. It holds ideas, inspiration, research, and everyday observations. I truly believe a sketchbook can be anything you want it to be: journal, diary, studio, travel log, playground.
